"Workplace Witnessing" - 1 Peter 2:18-25

How we conduct our lives matters. We have discussed that in past weeks. How we think about government, work, family, and church are four places where our faith gets lived out.

Peter's audience lived at a time when there were a lot of misconceptions and accusations directed toward the followers of Jesus. Were these accusations true? I guess that depends on how you live, right?

To the accusations that Jesus' followers are rebellious revolutionaries who disregard earthly authority and serve a king besides the Emperor, Peter encouraged the church to submit to the governing authorities. That was last week. Our good works should tell a different story.

But what about witnessing in the workplace? To the accusations that Jesus followers were rebellious workers who undermine the economy and buck against the system, Peter writes this next section.
