1 Peter 3:18-22

"Rising up...in a drowning world" - 1 Peter 3:18-22

The challenge of studying every verse of every chapter of every book of the Bible is that we have to deal with some of the more challenging passages!

That is what we face tomorrow! In fact, some have felt that this passage in 1 Peter might just be the most difficult of the entire NT! If only Peter had given some more detail to explain his illustration.

Baptism saves us? Jesus preached to spirits in prison? I didn't know Jesus had a prison ministry! And what does this have to do with Noah and the flood. Good grief, Peter!

While we may not be able to be dogmatic about the details, we cannot escape the context, and we know what Peter is driving at....or do we! This passage about baptism....well...its about more than baptism! If you want to know what I mean, then....
