1 Peter 2:6-12
"Are You Disoriented?" - 1 Peter 2:6-12
The chief cornerstone is the foundation stone to which the entire building is oriented. This stone in the picture is, in fact, a cornerstone. But.....it is not the foundational, or chief, cornerstone.
As we pick back up in 1 Peter 2 we will see where all of this talk about cornerstones is going.
What happens when someone rejects the only stone that was actually carved out by God to be a reference point?
What does it mean to be "living stones" in the house of God? Sure, a stone building has to be oriented vertically and horizontally. But I am not a stone building!
What does it mean to feel or be "oriented" in the world? What questions do we ask to even know if we are oriented? What is the experience of being disoriented?
It seems to me that one of the great challenges for people, young and old, is that of being disoriented. I want to say more....I really do! But this discussion will have to wait for our passage tomorrow. You have some things to ponder. Now all you have to do is...
......View and See!
