"Learning from a Baby?" - 1 Peter 2:1-9

Learning from a baby? Really? I mean, we learn from professors and mentors and scholars, and.....what could we possibly learn from a baby?

Ok, maybe we can learn what not to do. After all, babies lack skill, and strength, and independence, and self control. So, yea, maybe we could learn something.

In the Bible, lessons come from strange places. There is that talking donkey that reasons with Balaam. Jesus says, take a look at the birds of the air, there is a lesson for you about worry. And, yes, we can learn from children. But babies? Newborn babies?

Peter says we have something very important to learn from newborns. He has something very specific in mind, and it is very important for us.

What do we learn from newborn babies? Why is it important? That is our subject, among other things, for this message, so...
