"Called to be....different?" - 1 Peter 1:10-15

Yes, it is Mother's Day, but we will be continuing our study of 1 Peter 1, verses 10-15!

Peter, although he walked with and followed Jesus, recognized that his audience, including us, did not. But we are not alone! The prophets who wrote about Jesus before he ever showed up believed without seeing Him in person! They, looking into the future, had much less clarity than we do looking at the past.

Have you ever said, "I wish I knew then what I know now?" I have. There is an assumption that if you had better understanding you would have made different decisions, right?

How does knowing what you know effect the way you do what you do and why you do it? How does your salvation impact your desires and longings? Peter wants to talk to us about that very thing!

What does it mean to live a "different life? What things are actually different? And....different from what? or who? All of this tomorrow when we open our bibles. So...
