1 Peter 1:17-21

"Living a Life of Fear? Really?" - 1 Peter 1:17-21

Do you believe that less is more? I hope so, because as much as I wanted to finish chapter one of 1 Peter, it is just to dense! Rather, we will pass our time in 1 Peter 1:17-21 and leave the remainder for next time!

Speaking of "passing the time", how do you like to pass, or spend your time? Given a day to do whatever you want, what would you do?

Peter comments on this very thing in verse 17. He doesn't say what we should pass our time doing, but he does tell us how to pass the time.

Peter thinks we should spend our time on earth in.....wait for it....fear! Really? Can he really mean that?? Does Peter intend for us to live lives of fear?

Yes......and no. If Peter doesn't mean that we should live our lives being afraid, then what does he mean? And why should we do what he says we should do?

So, I think... "No", but... I know you will be surprised... and blessed when we discover together what in the world Peter is talking about. But to find out, of course, you have to...
