"Single Factor Authentication" - 1 John 3:10-15

I think we all feel some angst about the level of fakes and scams and not knowing what information can be trusted. Videos we watch, notices we receive, pictures we see....all used to be reliable. Now??....insert big "sigh" here. Uggghhh.

If we are being honest...and we are...we face the same problem in the church. The difference is that it is not a new development based on technological advancements. "Deep fake" Christians go allllll the way back to wolves in sheep's clothing.

It is not a problem that lacks a solution, though. John says that there is an absolute way to differentiate and authenticate who belongs to God and who belongs to.......the devil. Yup, only two possible boxes to check.

I expect that we will have a real "heart to heart" [there is clue to the opening question here] when we get together tomorrow. Cain and Abel will help provide a contrast as we discuss authentic Christians from religious scammers.

What is the single factor authentication for the Christian life? That's what we will discuss tomorrow when you...
