"Can I get a lift?" - 1 Peter 5:5-7

We pick up in 1 Peter 5:5-7 tomorrow. Yes, only three verses, but these represent a theme that runs through the whole bible.

The kingdom of God is an upside down Kingdom as compared to the world. Our world is largely based self promotion. Look and politics and look at the various "pride" movements.

Well, I have been stewing on this for a couple of weeks now and I am going to burst! How important is it for you to be in control? To have your way? If you don't make sure things happen, then who will? That is a very important question and it is at the center of our discussion tomorrow!

I have that "feeling" that this passage will be very very timely and powerful for all of us. Grab the kids, grab a friend, grab a neighbor, and...
