"What's wrong with the world?" - 2 Timothy 3:1-9

As we make our way into 2 Tim 3, there was no chapter break when Paul wrote. It was a flowing letter and the end of chapter 2 is linked to the beginning of chapter 3.

If you care to do so, take some time to think about the planetary problems we face on earth. I just saw a headline on the news that "France is burning". There are wars and conflicts are on both small and grand scales. It seems that tensions are also high on both local and national levels. Homes are filled with conflict, our world is filled with conflict. Why can't we all just get along?

In your opinion, what is wrong with the world? Who is to blame? Who is responsible for fixing it? Why have we been so unsuccessful at living peacefully? Is broken government to blame? A broken education system? A consumer driven world? What would top your list?

Well, Paul will give Timothy, and us, his Spirit-inspired opinion, and it may surprise you! In fact, in an extensive list, Paul identifies 18 things that are wrong with the world, and he was writing in the 1st century! I think you will see that the more things change, the more they stay the same.

If you want to know what's wrong with the world, then...
