2 Timothy 2:14-19

"It's Catastrophic!" - 2 Tim 2:14-19

What's catastrophic? Good question! What do you think of when you think of a catastrophic event? A tsunami, wildfire, hurricane, or earthquake? Yea, me too! Something that wreaks havoc and brings total destruction is typically described this way.

Sooooo, what does this have to do with 2 Tim 2?? In this very personal letter, Paul names the names of two men who seem to be perpetuating, on a local level, some teachings that are just flat out wrong and contradictory to the Bible.

It seems that these men are fairly convincing in their slick words and arguments, and the bottom line is that their teaching is destructive. Paul gives Timothy some advice for both understanding the severity and handling the......catastrophe!
