"Can I really trust......God??" - 2 Peter 2:4-10

Have you ever questioned the competency of God? I know that seems like a strange question, and we would not be the first to ask it. But think about it...

Some of the biggest stumbling blocks we face have to do with God's seeming permissiveness of evil. If God is good, then why.....? You can fill in the blank. I am sure there are times when you have wondered where God is, or why He is taking so long!

Peter is dealing with that exact question in 2 Peter 2. Why would He allow false teachers to continue when they live in arrogant opposition to Him? He let's them get away with it! Is He asleep? Is He twiddling His divine thumbs while they use His people to make themselves rich!

Our author assures us that this is not the case. With historical proof, Peter reminds us that God is fully competent and that His patience is not to be confused with His permission.
