Passion

As we walk through Passion Week, it seems like a good time to stop and explore this very strong word... PASSION. Our culture uses this term in many ways - passions of the heart, crimes of passion, follow your passion, play with passion....
All of these uses have a resemblance to its biblical usage, which interestingly is found in precious few places! Early in the book of Acts, Luke writes "After his Passion (suffering) he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive."
So we're saying that passion = suffering? Well that doesn't totally jive with my view of passion for sure! Or does it? Or can it?
