Good Fridays' Service 2026 - Luke 23
Welcome to our Good Friday Service.
After a King's welcome into Jerusalem, at least by some, the Son of God is unjustly cross-examined, convicted, condemned, and crucified.
What went wrong?
We will begin by reading our way through Luke 23. There will be opportunity for discussion, comment and some interspersed teaching. But for many of us this is a familiar story.
We do have some special elements planned for tonight including a video clip and a special encouragement toward scripture memory. A young girl from the church will be reciting, from memory, a good portion of the Luke passage.
Now, I almost forgot to mention that one of the special elements in tonight's service is......communion!
As we discuss His crucifixion, we are reminded that we have been joined to Him in His whole life experience. That includes being united to Him in His death.
What does that mean for us? What does that mean for Good Friday? Add communion to the list of special things on tonight's agenda!
As always, I pray that our time together this evening is both encouraging and challenging. Attending this service certainly contributes to our hearts' readiness for Easter Sunday! So, ...
...Come and See!
Steve
