"When the World Gets You Down...." - Psalms 35-37
The more I listen to the news, the more discouraged I am regarding the condition of our world. From reports of torture and war crimes in Ukraine, to the shooting in Uvalde, to gas prices and contrast dye shortages, its hard to listen to "the rhetoric". Everyone wants to blame someone else for the evil and injustice. Am I the only one that is discouraged by things?
I need the Psalms. Studying today has been very helpful to me personally, and I think these Psalms might be vital to your "psyche" as well. There is really nothing new under the sun, and David is dealing with injustice, evil, and godlessness.
David exposes his intimate and personal conversations with God and encourages Himself in the Lord. In these three Psalms we find some real nuggets.
