"Let's Sing!" - Psalms 95-98
There is so much to talk about in the Psalms, we have for this message, but the resounding and repeated thread is singing that comes from joy and gladness.
God's people should be happy people, and deeply happy people tend to express themselves in song. No matter where you go in the world, music is a central part of culture. When we go to Israel, the Jewish families come to the hotels for Shabbat dinner, and we often hear them break into song in the middle of the dining room.
Singing unifies, electrifies, and intensifies our life experiences. Imagine a "music-less" world!
How do you feel about singing? Do you have the joy, joy, joy, joy down in your heart? If not, maybe our time in the Psalms will be helpful! There are so many Christians that do not regularly experience joy, and have little, then, to motivate their heart to sing.
