Psalms 68-69

"I'm Drowning!" - Psalms - 68 & 69

While Psalm 68 is filled with the glory of God and was likely penned for the occasion of bringing the Ark into Jerusalem, Psalm 69 is filled with anguish and desperation. Such is life, right? Times of great celebration of the power and glory of God, and times of feeling like we are drowning!

Psalm 69 is the second most quoted Psalm as we read the NT. It is one of the powerful Messianic Psalms in which we see many fulfillments in the life and death of Jesus. The words were true of David when he penned them, but unbeknownst to him, they would find their ultimate truth in the future.
