"Psalms of Ascent: Part 2" - Psalms 127-134

In this continuing group, we rejoin the Jewish pilgrims on their way to Jerusalem, singing the "Psalms of Ascent". We stopped with Psalm 126 in the last video, so now we pick back up in Psalm 127.

What I do know is that our first one of the evening -- Psalm 127 -- is well known and oft quoted by many. Have you ever heard the saying, "Let go, and let God"? I have, on many occasions. But what does that mean, actually?

We may get the impression -- especially as we speak in church of "grace and not works" -- that the Christian life is effortless. All we do is show up for church on occasion, sit back, and relax while God will do the rest, right? Oh, how wrong that picture is.

Psalm 127 helps to set the record straight, using children as an example to illustrate the point! Did you know there has been a severe decrease in birth rates?

Would you believe there is more to building a life than money? And....There is more to happiness than "success"? If you want to know how Psalm 127 puts this all into perspective, then...
