Titus 3:1-7

"What Happened to You?" - Titus 3:1-7

I don't know about you, but I love the simple and profound nature of the cartoon above. This little guy has moved from inside the egg to outside the egg and life will be completely different for him, wouldn't you agree?

A "paradigm shift", as the cartoon says, is a major change in how people think and get things done that upends and replaces a prior way of thinking. Our little cartoon chick has realized the magnitude if his new life!

Being born, or being born again, would be a similar experience and a similar shift. It changes the way we see God, ourselves, other people, purpose, money, time, relationships....everything. For Paul, as he writes to Titus, that "everything" even, and especially, involves unsaved authorities and unsaved people.

Have you found yourself having high expectations and therefore great disappointments regarding the world around you? Have the behaviors of people frustrated you or made you angry? Have you spent any time being upset with the state of politics and government? Don't lie!

How should we approach these things? How should we relate or understand? How can we be more compassionate and gracious toward the unsaved world when we want to lose our cool!?

And.....what does this have to do with "what happened to me"? For that you have to...
