Revelation 1:1-8

We begin our study in the Book of Revelation! Many of you have expressed a desire to spend some time in the pages of the only book of the Bible that declares a blessing for those who read it!

I believe there has never been a more appropriate time in our modern history to study this book. The events of this 2020 have given us a new perspective on how fragile humanity and human systems can be. We also understand from experience how ripple effects from events can influence every aspect of our life on Earth, from food chain and production to health care provision and world economy.

Humans have pondered and imagined that things cannot continue indefinitely on planet Earth. There are songs and movies that speculate about the end of things and what it will be like! Jesus has given us the Revelation so that we don't have to wonder. We don't have to speculate. The only one who knows the future has revealed it to us, so that we can know!
