"What It Takes to See Jesus"

Many passages in the Bible teach that all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

Jesus summarizes many similar Bible verses when He made this ominous proclamation in His Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:10-12):

"Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven..."

Okay, so let's say you want to follow Christ and live for Him. How is it possible to do that when difficult trials come, and every fiber of your being is growing weary, you are losing heart, and are tempted to give up?

According to Hebrews 12:2, the answer is found by... looking unto Jesus... who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

But if Jesus is in Heaven, how can we see Him when we are struggling down here on earth?

Well, "Come and see!"
