"Rahab - An Example of Great Faith" - Joshua 2:1-24

Faith is a very important aspect of Christianity. In fact, the Bible states: “Without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please Him…!” (Hebrews 11:6)

So, if faith is so important, how can we learn to walk by faith and grow in our faith when the world we live in is designed to take our eyes off God? According to the Apostle Paul, Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).

And I have found that one of the best ways to mature in our faith is to study the people God presents in His Word. Why? For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope (Romans 15:4).

Clearly, we can learn how to grow in OUR faith as we observe AND pattern our lives after the many faithful lives recorded from Genesis to Revelation. But also contained in the Bible are the actions of those who stumbled in their faith.

Now these things happened as examples for us, so that we would not crave evil things as they also craved (1 Corinthians 10:6).
