Hebrews 11:23-29

"Moses, Faith, & Choices" - Heb 11:23-29

As we continue making progress through Hebrews 11, we are referring to large sections of the OT. Having come as far as Joseph, whose life closes out the Book of Genesis, we are poised and ready to talk about.....Moses.

I imagine Moses is probably one of, if not the most famous Biblical figures. I believe even a non believer could tell you something about Moses. Just like Noah is readily connected with the ark and the flood, Moses is associated with the Ten Commandments and the parting of the Red Sea. Thank you, Charlton Heston!

As I have been reading, what challenged me from the presentation of the author of Hebrews was the choices that Moses made in his life. Even his parents make a cameo for their faith in this brief section.

Have you ever considered how many decisions you make each day? Have you ever thought about how you make those decisions? What are the subconscious filters at work as you process options?

Taking that self reflection, we will compare with some decisions Moses had to make and how he made them. How did faith influence his choices in life? That, my friends, is the topic for discussion tomorrow!
