We are ready to look at our third of seven churches in Revelation -- the church in Pergamos!

Continuing on the postal route through Asia Minor, we move north to discover an amazing ancient city. Pergamos was not a port city like Ephesus and Smyrna. It was, however, an incredible hilltop city that boasts of the world's first hospital - a center for healing!

Pergamos was known for being a cultural and educational center with all the major temples represented. The church there would have been an island in a sea of Pagan worship of false gods. Even going to the doctor was an act of worhip.
