"Living Hope" - 1 Peter 1:3-5

What could be more important than Christmas? Easter! If there is no Easter then there is no reason to celebrate Christmas, really. Jesus is just another important person who lived and died having left an imprint on the world. He would be ranked with Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln, or Nelson Mandela.

But.....Jesus stands alone....and alive!

Since we have finished the Book of James, we will get a head start on 1 Peter with vv 3-5. Peter is writing to give people who are struggling with hope a reason to jump for joy....literally!

If you hit the lottery, would you jump for joy? What else might make you jump for joy? The resurrection? 

Yes, but there is more to it than that! What else is there? ... Well..,
