John Slye

Director of Home Fellowships - After visiting Calvary Chapel Fluvanna with family over the last ten years, John and his wife, Kim, joined our CCF church family in January 2021 after they relocated to Fluvanna from the DC metro area.

John served as a lay leader at his former church in Fairfax where they attended for nearly 30 years. Over the years he led Bible studies, taught Sunday school for adults, led in Awana and served on short-term mission trips. He completed an MA in Biblical Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. He currently serves as an inductive Bible study trainer with Precept Ministries to help leaders and students develop effective Bible study and leadership skills. John works as a federal IT market analyst/consultant with Deltek.

John and Kim live near Fork Union. They have a young adult daughter and son.
