Book of 2 John
2 John? Is that in the Bible? Do you mean the Gospel of John? No, I mean 2 John , or "Second John".
Being "between books" of the OT, and having one more Wednesday night to preach before Helga and I head back to Italy, I decided to step into the NT and look at one of the two smallest books of the NT.
2 Jn is really more of an email-sized correspondence -- about 250 words in Greek -- attributed to the same John that wrote the Gospel of John.
The letter is an easy read, and will challenge us in more ways than one. However, what stood out to me was our confusion about what it means to love others. Love is a word we throw around, and one that may mean different things to different people.
How does God express love to His children? How do His children respond to His love? How does that love impact the way we relate to others? And....what about people that are opposed to the things of God?
If you want to study an entire book of the NT in one sitting, then...
...View and See....
