"Reflecting on God" - Psalms 75-77

It's hard to lump all three into one category other than 'Reflecting on God". Really, all three Psalms in some way reflect on the very nature of God to oppose the wicked and lift up the humble. This theme is all the way through the Bible and has its pinnacle in Jesus.

Asaph is one of those guys who seems to be really bugged by the fact that wicked people seem to get away with stuff and humble people get taken advantage of. Psalm 73 dealt with the same thing. If you struggle with the things you see in the world....why good things happen to bad people, why drug cartels, terrorist cells, dictators, and takers seem to advance...it is especially important to reflect on the ways of God!

Psalm 75 has the well known line in the image above. God is sovereign over all the affairs of men and throughout history, from Ancient Egypt to modern China. God raises one up and puts another down. In our world of self made men and self promotion, this is a great reality. God's way are not always mysterious. Sometimes they seem so, but occasionally you see His hand at work with your own eyes!

Jesus is the king of kings who made Himself of no reputation. This is the mind that should be in us as well! Not a proud and self promoting mind, but a humble "others serving " mind. This is part of gratitude, judgement, and even mental health. Want some details? Then....
